Groups

At 180 RED, we offer a variety of mental health groups designed to foster connection, promote healing, and support personal growth. Group therapy provides a powerful space where individuals can learn from others, gain new insights, and build a sense of community in a safe and supportive environment.

Groups are offered in rotating cycles and are formed based on client interest and demand. This allows us to tailor our group offerings to best meet the needs of our community.

What are Mental Health Groups?

Mental health groups are supportive gatherings where people come together to share their experiences, challenges, and feelings related to mental health. These groups offer a safe, non-judgmental space for individuals to connect, listen, and learn from one another.

There are different types of mental health groups, including:

  • Support Groups: Focused on providing emotional support for people dealing with similar issues, like anxiety, depression, grief, or addiction.

  • Therapy Groups: Led by a licensed mental health professional, these groups use therapeutic techniques to help members cope, build skills, and work through mental health challenges.

  • Peer-Led Groups: Run by people with personal experience of mental health struggles, offering understanding from those who’ve “been there.”

What are some reasons to join a Mental Health Group?

  • Connection: You’ll meet others who understand what you’re going through.

  • Support: It’s a space to be heard and supported without judgment.

  • Growth: Learn coping strategies and mental health skills.

  • Hope: Hearing others’ stories can remind you that healing and progress are possible.

Whether in-person or online, mental health groups can play an important role in someone’s recovery and overall well-being.

What is the cost of a Mental Health Group?

Some groups operate on a cash-pay basis, while others accept insurance billing.

Are Mental Health Groups in-person or telehealth?

Some groups are offered through telehealth, whereas others are more appropriately held in person based on the needs of the participants.
